Just so we are all clear.
“Shuffle rock/ rocking” is not a specific move. ROCKING IS A STYLE.

Rt to save a beginner shuffle/shapers life.

Most tutorials are not emphasizing this..They’re teaching u a beginner rocking sequence, which is cool but u gotta keep in mind it’s pretty much choreo. Shuffling is about freestyling, and in reality this exact sequence only comes handy if you want to mirror each other, that’s it
There’re ways to rock & have ur style to it by having different t-step combinations + use of transitions. Ur front, back ,side t-steps don’t have to be symmetrical from side to side either.
Yes,the tutorial you are seeing is probably 1 way to rock, but it does NOT define rocking.
Also, this style came about from being in tight spaces. Unlike og hardstyle Melbourne, rocking doesn’t take a whole lot of room to tRaVel.
A quick history lesson for you, rockers is what shufflers used to call themselves back in Australia. This goes back decades! Rocking was another term for shuffling back then, which is essentially Melbourne shuffling. Rocking = a melbourne shuffling style, not a move
So don’t be shy, throw a nice running man in between there! A slide , a turn , a kick. Just remember the style is mostly based on t-steps/ pivoting combinations. Hope this helps
