correct me if i’m wrong but in sikhi the scriptures say the soul is genderless and also mentions how marriage is the union of two souls. i understand the rules of anand kaaraj are sakht and that same sex anand karaj is not allowed. but can we not use sikhi to be homophobic (1/4)
because i see alot of people being blatantly homophobic and using sikhi as a way of justifying this. sikhi says nothing about homosexuality to my knowledge. the only thing close to it is saying anand karaj is between a man and woman. (2/4)
i know that another part of sikhi is also about growing the panth and thats an argument used against homosexuality, but adoption is also growing the panth. would you say the same to women and men who are infertile or choose not to have kids? are they not sikhs as well? (3/4)
again this is my opinion from what i have read and researched. please feel free to leave your opinion or facts about this matter i genuinely want to know if theres anything i missed out on (4/4)
