Good morning, all. Had a sort of epiphany as I was doing my Bible study this morning.

(A thread):

2 Kings, 14:4-5 (paraphrased) - Jehoahaz prayed for the Lord's help because the king of Aram was oppressing Israel in horrible ways.

/1
So the Lord heard his prayer and delivered Israel from the tyranny of the Arameans.

One man. That's it. Yes, he was a king. But a man, nonetheless. God listened to ONE MAN and delivered an entire nation from oppression.

/2
And how many times have we seen this in the Bible? Many. And what kinds of oppression/tyranny has it been? Varied.

I believe we are under siege/attack right now with all that is going on in America.

/3
Obviously this is the devil's domain, but God is still in the midst of it, seeing, hearing, knowing how those that love Him are brokenhearted at the destruction and lost lives and rejection of His son.

One man changed a nation with his prayers. That's it.

/4
So how many of us are praying for this nation on the regular? I wager quite a few. I was prompted to start a prayer group on Twitter a few years ago to pray for a hurting nation after a church shooting.

/5
Seems we've come full circle, and it's time to enlist more righteous God-fearing, Jesus-loving Americans in the prayer warrior circuit. Reach out and encourage others to pray for this nation. Be Jehoahaz.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
