My PhD research on 5 levels! Thanks to @hristova_dayana for the inspiration. I encourage my PhD colleagues from @ITN_INITIATE to do this challenge! #sciencecommunication #knowyouraudience

1. To a child 👶: I study how to protect our bodies from germs that make us sick.
2. To a teen 👧: I study how vaccines build our immune system to fight viruses.
3. To an undergrad student 👱: I study the first events in the immune response to virus-vectored vaccines. My research is focused on the role of the metabolic state (glycolysis, protein synthesis, etc) of the immune cells in the first steps post immunization.
4. To a grad student (in the field)👱‍♀️: I study the influence of the immunometabolism of cells in adenovirus-based vaccines, and the differences between vaccine platforms including different adenovectors and routes of administration (intramuscular/muscosal).
5. To an expert in the field👩‍🦳: I study the effect of immunometabolism on APCs, migration and Ag processing&presentation; after i.m. and i.n. immunization with Ads. It includes the metabolic profiling of the target cells (e.g. Warburg effect) & its influence in adaptive immunity.
