even a few months ago, an old man with sacred thread was beaten on the road by dravidian party supporters. Calling out means being vocal about their practice. Beating them up, abusing brahmin specific practices, and then abusing Hindu Gods is not "Calling out"

have been more stricter.hardly allowed in their house till my 30s. Have hardly spoken to any of their good numbers of sisters. in my school days, they were just covering their heads, now seeing them with burkhas. compared to all that there is less patriarchy in brahmin society

Maybe till the generations before 1980s had the advantage of getting the ancestory advantages, Now much of their achievements are either because of talent or hardwork. even if it is hard to digest for many, I will say,
brahmins in general are more talented. consequently they get good job opportunities.

My self being a meat consumer turned vegetarian, I agree with most practice they do to avoid meat.
I don't eat in hotels that cook meat. I try to avoid eating in houses that consumes meat. Never eat if vegetarian food is cooked in vessels that used for cooking meat

Yes, Beef is not consumed by brahmins, and most of the hindu communities of TN or India does not consume beef. because Yes Cows are sacred to us. It is nothing to do with casteism. Generally hinduism prescribes vegetarianism, but also accomodates meat consumers with restrictions
Meat is allowed on certain days or under certain rituals. Overall the direction is towards vegetarianism. Though much of current hindu society doesnt understand that, the scriptures' direction is crystal clear on that.

Stigma regarding marrying muslims is real. We see many hindu girls marry muslim men, but after that get beaten, had to be accepted as one of the wives, should beget several children, possible Halala.
So it is not some imaginary stigma, we have real issues with that.
