Thread on Spending in the Top 6 Teams. After a heated debate with a (now ex-) friend, I wanted to find out which of the top 6 clubs spends its money the most wisely, especially in the light of Kepa and Pepe's exorbitant transfers.
On transfermarkt I used the statistics for NET transfer expenditure to gauge how much money each club had spent.
Unsurprisingly, cash clubs Man Utd and City spent the most, more than a billion quid between them. Arsenal have also posted a significant transfer outlay, at around 270 million pounds.
I then found the table for points recorded in the same time. Again unsurprisingly City and Liverpool sit at the top, amassing a whopping 940 points between them.
I put the data into an excel, to get the results (Millions in Loss/ Point)
Man City spent the most per points won, Closely Followed by Man Utd. Arsenal came next with approx. 270 Million in losses between a measly 400 points. The clubs that had less net outlay were the most efficient, in the order of Chelsea, Spurs then Liverpool
6:Man City

3. Chelsea.
