Here's why I was really disappointed in John Bolton. He spent several pages setting up the President turning a blind eye to concentration camps in China. So I asked him the logical question --

why didn't you quit then if the leader of the free world was ignoring concentration camps to get a trade deal? His answer was essentially unless you've walked in my shoes, you can't judge me.

But Bolton wants us to judge the President without him or us walking in the President's shoes. That just really bothers me in large part because I've always thought of him as a principled straight shooter and now realize I was always wrong. https://ewerickson.substack.com/p/john-boltons-interview
