GOODWILL SOURCING THREAD

New to flipping and want to increase sales?

Goodwill is a fantastic place to find profitable inventory!

There are a lot of different profitable categories to sell.

Ready to go? Let's learn!

1. Finding Locations

Goodwill has 3,300 locations in the USA...

You'll want to be able to plan a route to your local stores

You can use the Goodwill Locator to find all of the stores

I recommend toggling off the donation sites (ADC)

Use it : https://www.goodwill.org/locator/ 

2. Narrowing Your Search

You want to focus on the stores in wealthier areas.

It's worth the extra drive I promise

Think about it.....

More wealth = More donations = More profit potential

I avoid rural stores almost entirely, maybe go once a week

3. Categories to Focus

Goodwill accepts mostly all things in donation

The most profitable categories for me are :
- Media (DVD, CD, Blu-Ray, Games)
- Electronics (Routers, VCRs, etc)
- Toys (Plush, educational toys)
- Anything new in box is always worth a scan

4. STICKERS

This is an important one.

Goodwill chooses a color every week that's discounted

Anything with that color on it is $1 on Mondays only.

Mondays are the days that you should be at GW

On Mondays I usually pick up media

Very easy profit for only $1

5. Taking Your Time

This might be my most useful tip in this thread

TAKE. YOUR. TIME.

I'm sure I've walked by $1000s of profit because I was in a hurry

Just take a good look at the shelves

Profit can hide from you, don't let it.

HOMEWORK TIME

You know the drill!

1. Read this thread, and ask any questions you may have

2. Hit up a few Goodwills looking for profit

3. Take the risk and buy something!

4. Profit!
