So Liverpool rotation has been the talk of the town in the FPL fraternity.
By now, we all have the number of rest hours they have between games but I decided to look in detail about rotation options.
Here are my findings & a theory on rotation & when it might strike👇
So every season the winning club is given 40 medals which they distribute to the manager, players & officials as long as every player who has made at least 5 PL appearances (starting or sub) this season gets one
Liverpool currently have 21 players who are eligible for that PL medal inc. the likes of Minamino, Lallana, AOC, Lovren
Out of the remaining players who are close & could get a PL medal are:
Elliot (2A)
Jones (2A)
Williams (1A)
However (0A)
Van Den Berg (0A)
Out of this list, Elliot, Jones & Williams look like the only who are in realistic contention of a PL medal
Here are their preferable positions
Elliot: LW & RW (the Salah/Mane position)
Jones's: CM, AM, LM (the Hendo, Fab, Keita position)
Williams: RB, RM (TAA, Hendo, Fab, Keita)
A start for one or all of them 3 is most likely to come in either GW35 (BUR not playing for relegation) or more realistically in GW38 (NEW Avoided drop already)
Playing lots of kids against one of MCI, AVL, BHA,ARS,CHE looks unlikely
Remember 5 sub appearances can get you a medal
If we look at Salah & Mane's position, there are effectively only 3 rivals for those 2 spots, Origi, Mina, AOC, Jones
With Villa right still fighting for relegation I don't see Klopp resting all of his front 3 in spite of the short turnaround.
Origi is also a positional rival..
to Firmino & probably poses a bigger threat to his position than to Salah & Mane.
Origi has started 4 times in the PL this season: GW1, 9, 15 & 24
GW1: Mane late from AFCON
GW9: Salah out
GW15: In place of Firmino who was fit
GW24: Mane out

If we assume Klopp rotates 1 of his..
front 3,the players most at risk are Firmino (no GB)>Mane (most minutes since restart)>Salah (GB & least mins. since restart)
With AOC often playing in the mid 3,it looks unlikely that Klopp will have enough options to rotate more than 1 of his front 3 in the same game.
Now coming to TAA, he has 2 positional rivals, Gomez & Williams (needs 4 more app)
With Matip out, if Gomez comes in at RB then Lovren is likely to partner VVD at CB
I'd rule Williams out for a start in the Villa & BHA game simply coz I think Klopp will respect the fact that both
are still fighting for their lives. This leaves Gomez. With the team going for points & TAA being the focal point of Liverpool's attack, will Klopp rotate both his RB & 1 (or more) of his front 3 against teams fighting relegation?
Unlikely IMO.
Conclusion
1. Klopp is unlikely to bench more than 1 of his front 3 in the same game (bar GW38)
2. Unlikely to rotate heavily in the Villa & Brighton game to uphold the morality of the league.
3. Burnley in GW35 (3 days after BHA) is when a lot more rotation is likely to strike.
This isn't a stat or eye test driven analysis so feel free to disagree, discuss, argue, rant & criticise this. But remember, it's just a theory.
