When I had my heart attack at 29, Silver drove me to the hospital (he happened to be visiting that week) and stayed with me until I was released, to make sure I was okay.

He's a model example of what LEOs should be.

Historically, the cops have been oppressors enforcing the will of the state, and for that, yeah, ACAB. But sometimes you get peeps who genuinely want to make the world a better place, and yes, this man makes me feel conflicted about things, but life is rarely so clean-cut

I still think we should abolish the police and replace then with people better-trained to ACTUALLY help people. And there should be more training and accountability and a LOT less militarization.

The problems are systemic, and things need to change

It's not safe to assume any cop you encounter will be like Silver. He seems to be a rare breed. But I will vouch that there's definitely still heroes out there. And he's one of them.
