A lot of us lost hella college/university gigs in the Spring. Money we were counting on. A lot of those orgs/offices said they were going to rebook in the Fall. I don't see it happening.
I doubt very seriously schools are gonna have events and speakers on campus this semester. The gathering of crowds is gonna be a liability issue some/most schools aren't gonna wanna chance.
Some schools will do virtual readings which will be cool for some folks to get a couple dollars. But I wonder if that's gonna be a big thing. And even then, the typical rate folks are accustom to charging is gonna be decreased like crazy.
Then there's the money side. Universities have lost tens/hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue because of Covid. And if the college football season gets bumped back or canceled, it'll be more devastating financially. Schools are gonna be trying to hold on to their coins
I say all that to say, artists who tour the college/university circuit heavy, we gotta plan accordingly. We gotta operate like this semester, and maybe this year, is a wash. Hope I'm wrong. But the post-COVID world, especially for artists, is gonna look hella different.
