[THREAD] I admit, even I was skeptical, but, yep, this is just another example of the (failed) inside jokes and dog whistles to white supremacy that dominate the Trump administration and campaign.

So, let's take a picture tour. https://twitter.com/ProjectLincoln/status/1278484113918431232
(And here is the receipt in case the Trump campaign is smart enough to remove this product).
First...America First.

Straight up nativist and a favorite saying of the Ku Klux Klan.

Read @sarahchurchwell on this. Her book delves deeply into this history (link to that below).

Because some have claimed this is basically the official American version...Well, here is the eagle from the US coat of arms (which would have been a logical choice for a US presidential campaign but...)
Here is a Nazi armband in the collection of @HolocaustCentUK.

From recent pop culture, here is the eagle as a symbol of the fictitious Nazi-occupied United States from @amazon's Man in the High Castle series.
Here is the eagle in another present context, as a neo-Nazi symbol tattoo from the @ADL
Here is the eagle on the website of the Daily Stormer, a notorious white supremacist publication.

So, we have reached the point where circumstantial eveidence seems to be completely overwhelming. The Trump campaign (Stephen Miller probably) is appropriating Nazi and white supremacist imagery.

No doubt Miller thinks the "sheeple" are too dumb to get his inside jokes.
But, they are pretty obvious, despite the obviously intentional counter of "you're just seeing things." These alt-right images and talking points always come with a built-in excuse that the rest of us are being hysterical.
And, remember, support your local historian!

And punch your local Nazi (metaphorically, of course)
Update: This MAY be the source of the image.

The artist, Vectorcarrot (Kotliar Lubov) appears to be...Ukrainian. So...THAT'S interesting.
Note: these were all other options from the same artist.
