Guys. I love the Army. I am proud of my service. But it took 7 yrs and a tweet thread that made it around the military corner of twitter before 1 of the men that stood by and watched an NCO threaten to rape me and then gaslit me when I reported apologized. We’ve got work to do.

It’s 2020 and women that are in service have stories of harassment that are basically the same as those of our sisters that served 30 years ago. It’s better in a lot of places. But not everywhere. A lot of commands take it very seriously. But not all.

And if you’re a dude, do not jump on this thread to tell me how good you’re doing and how much you’re helping. Just be quiet and keep being a normal decent human. You don’t get a prize for that.
