So far I’ve got:
- Ask the going rate/budget 1st (before quote £)
- Start high (you can negotiate down but not up)
- Have some standard (day rates, hourly) in mind for consistency
- Research the client & brief (budgets vary)
- Stay polite
- Don’t be afraid to say no thanks
