Thread: For all the worry warts out there. Think about this. Leo Terrell is a longtime civil rights lawyer. He’s been on the frontlines of the political wars for more than forty years - on the side of the Democrats. He became a lawyer in 1990. In 1996 his radio show debuted.
The show was called Point-Counterpoint, and Leo was the liberal to his partner’s conservatism. He was a board member of the EEOC and a member of the Statewide Commission on Hate Crimes in CA. He started doing pro bono legal work for the NAACP immediately after graduation.
He has been a longtime activist fighting against police brutality. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Terrell

This is no Johhny-come-lately to the political game. And no conservative. But look what he says about his own party, the one he has fought for thirty years.
“I have 30 years invested as a Civil Rights attorney, public school teacher as you mentioned, and I'm frustrated and disappointed in the Democratic Party and the left. I mean, it really started a couple of weeks ago when Joe Biden made that comment, that awful comment,
that insulting comment that if you vote Republican, you ain't black,”. Now, you think about this for just a moment. If Leo Terrell was insulted by Biden’s comment, do you think a few other blacks might have been? Do you think some of them might be thinking along the same lines?
“I'm a Civil Rights attorney. That statement was condescending and insulted every African-American, and every American, and then you follow up with a series of protesting, which is perfectly okay, but the failure of a Democratic Party to call out the rioting, the looting, the
murder is just something that I, as a Civil Rights attorney could no longer sit and just basically stay quiet,”. Look at the progression. Biden’s insulting comment got him to sit up and take notice. He was insulted. So were millions of other black Americans.
But what tipped him over the edge? When the Democrats remained silent while the cities where the people who Terrell has fought for for thirty years burned. You don’t think Terrell hasn’t seen the videos? You don’t think millions of black Americans have seen them?
You don’t think that millions of black Americans have watched as Seattle was taken over by radicals and the Democratic leadership did NOTHING? While two young black men were MURDERED in the streets and nothing was done?
You don’t think the anger in the black community is boiling over right now? You don’t think they are looking at Black Lives Matter and seeing exactly what you see? That #BLM doesn’t give a damn about black Americans? That they don’t give a damn about America?
Black Americans have fought for centuries for the rights that they now enjoy. They’re still fighting to ensure those rights. Do you think for one second they will give up those rights easily? Willingly? Without a fight?
While many other Americans have been sleeping, black Americans have fought and fought and fought. Sometimes their activists have gone over the top. Sometimes their demands have seemed a bit too much. But they’ve never stopped fighting for equality. And now, they’re waking up.
They’re realizing that THIS Democrat party is not THEIR Democrat party. Some of them will vote for Trump. How many is anybody’s guess. But a LOT of them will simply sit out this election. They’re not yet to the point where they can embrace a Republican.
But they’re more than ready to stop embracing the Democrats. Biden’s words, “you ain’t black”, are ringing in their ears. And they’re watching the pain of those who have lost businesses and livelihoods during the riots and looting. They’re thinking about David Dorn.
They’re thinking about the 19 others that have been killed, most of them black. And they’re questioning their lifetime allegiance to the Democrat party.

Think about ALL of this. And ask yourself one simple question. What happens if only 80% of blacks vote for Biden?
So, a 6% drop in turnout plus a 2% increase in positive votes turned into a election win. What do you think is going to happen in 2020? I’ll tell you what. Trump improves his black vote numbers, and overall voter turnout for blacks drops again. The end result?
If even CNN has to admit that, what do you think that means? That article is now almost two years old. Do you think he’s gained more since then? And now, “You ain’t black” is ringing in the ears of black Americans all over the country.
In politics a catch phrase that is memorable is everything. In Reagan vs. Mondale, it was “I won’t hold my opponents youth and inexperience against him.” With Obama it was “Hope and Change”. In 2020, it’s “You ain’t black”. With those three words, Biden lost the election.
