I think the biggest problem in @CrowdJustice's statement here is "We recognise that there is a controversial and heated debate on the subject of trans right". It is also about female ppl's (the humans formerly known as women and girls) right to organise as a political class and to have spaces away from male ppl. It is about the right of homosexual ppl to define themselves as exclusively same sex attracted. 2/

It's about intersex ppl's right to access to accurate information and a voice of our own. It's about the right of children to bodily integrity, evidence based medical care and to be protected from making adult decisions before they are old enough to understand the consequences 3/

If you think this debate is only about "trans rights", you haven't been paying attention. This really is not said enough. 4/4
