While I’m in a mood.....HS student athletes. Your last grading period was mostly online this year. You may have more online. So that means you have ZERO EXCUSE for poor grades.

We will see your transcripts as recruiters. We will notice bad grades. So you can be bored all you want, you can come up with excuses. We’ve heard them all. We will move on.

While we are at it, we’ve been bored too. So we’ve been on social media a little bit more than normal. We have been watching your tweets and posts. Remember, you haven’t competed in awhile. Don’t let grades and social media kill an opportunity for you.

We do ask questions from coaches and others outside your home. You should be trending towards adulthood in your performances, academics, and decision making. Nobody wants a fast fool.

You aren’t in the 13th grade. This is not boys and girls T&F. This is Men’s and Women’s T&F.

Your professors are just like your conference meet and the NCAA meet. They aren’t going to slow down because you are not ready....You must Speed Up. No one will wait on you. Let’s GO. Don’t wait to start trending to adulthood. Start now.

Don’t just be physically prepared for the next level. Prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for the next level. Big moments are coming. Be bigger than the moment.
