The @nyccfb is holding a hearing right now to talk how voting went on the June 23. 87.1% New Yorkers are registered to vote, and only 62% of ppl between 18-29 are registered to vote.
This new data is v telling. New voter registrations dropped off precipitously during New York City’s shutdown, with roughly 80,000 residents signing up in the first six months of 2020, roughly half the amount of new voters in the same time period for 2016.
