What is your greatest memory of High School? Was it in your senior year? These seniors of 2021 are on the brink of not having an in school senior year, and your sons and daughters are about to be in eLearning for this upcoming calendar year unless a few things change:
1. Wear a mask in public venues. I don't care if you believe in it or not. It's not about you, others around need you to do this. Think... Am I my brother's keeper?
2. Keep a safe social distance. 6' or 12' when exercising.
3. Think of yourself as contaminated. You are the cause
You are the reason why many people are getting sick. Protect others from yourself.
4. Be empathetic to all of the deaths. 9/11 happened 3k were murdered and sweeping changes happened, including you giving up some of your rights. We still take our shoes off in an airport. Remember?
We will never forget. What's so hard about wearing a mask? Over 100k deaths so far due to COVID
5. I don't want to hear about who is affected by this, we are a part of the HUMAN RACE, this should upset you. I bet you would have a different feeling if it was your mom?
6. If and when we get back to school, your sons and daughters will mimic your behavior concerning masks. You have set them up. When lil Johnny gets sent home because he won't follow the rules about masks and social distancing, YOU DID THIS. Not the teacher, school, district; YOU.
IT'S YOUR OWN DAMN FAULT.
That's my rant. I'm a father, husband, teacher and coach who would love to see your sons and daughters in class in the Fall.
