Fellow doctors and HCWs - It may sound too far fetched but it's time to be careful and stay safe as well as be mentally prepared for uncertainty. We may be in different specialities, some may already be on front lines against Covid and some may be asked to be so in coming days.
Most of you I hope have a health insurance policy. Make a list of your assets and liabilities and keep your life insurance policies and documents organised in one place. Make a will if you need to. Make your nominee - spouse or siblings or kids or parents aware of it.
I am not wanting to sound ominous but in caring for others you may have forgotten to organise yourself. It's time to do this. It is something you owe to your near and dear ones. You don't want them to be struggling in case of eventualities.
We have seen so many doctors and HCWs Kay down their lives world over. So the threat is not imaginary. Many docs and HCWs are fighting for their lives as I write this. Hope we will not lose more lives - but that is just wishful thinking.
Stay safe. Take care. But be prepared and keep your near and dear ones mentally prepared to some extent and aware of important things. #COVIDー19 #MedTwitter
