For weeks now I have received DMs from both sides of this conversation accusing me of staying silent.

Apparently I didn't make myself clear enough so here are some bullet points:
• I did not "pick a side".
• Some actions by both sides of this debate have been questionable
• I do not support BLM's tactics/policies.

• Instead of each side listening to the other's opinion & having proper conversation about it, it has devolved to personal attacks.
• Focus is being taken away from the issues at hand & placed on picking a side. This is wrong.
