How about a #querystats thread for June?

I had a dip in queries this month, 536 total as opposed to 600-700 in the past few months. Of those:

Rejected: 519
Requested: 2
Offers: 1

I have about 20 queries that I need to take more time with & 6 full manuscripts to read, which hopefully I will get to soon. I've been delightfully busy with client work.
Of my queries, far & away I receive the most thriller submissions, but probably 90% (not exaggerating) are subgenres I am NOT looking for. When you submit to me, please make sure you're submitting work I'm looking for. I have a "not the best fit" list. I'm serious about it.
I receive the next most horror and literary fiction submissions. Keep these coming, please. I receive a ton of sci-fi submissions, but I am looking for no hard sci-fi, & I get so. many. hard sci-fi queries.
I get woefully few middle grade submissions. Y'all, I want middle grade! Middle grade is my heart! Please send me your middle grade!!! #MSWL
I'd also love to see more upmarket fiction, women's fiction, & YA horror. I'm surprised how little of the query pie these genres take up. Please send me more of them. #MSWL
In all, over half of my queries (so, over 250 in June alone) were for projects I am not looking for. This info is on my agency page, query form, etc. It's easy to find. Please save yourself and me time by making sure you're querying projects an agent is actively looking for.
One last note: I realize I have gotten a reputation for responding to queries quickly. I try to stay on top of them for my own sanity. However, this doesn't mean I get to every query within 24 hours. So if I've had your query for one week, please don't DM me to ask about it.
I believe my follow-up time is two months. If you haven't heard from me in a week (relax!!!), it probably means your query is in my maybe pile. I have made no promises to respond to queries in 48 hours, folks!
I feel like I always end these threads with "I'm doing my best," but ... I'm doing my best. Please keep the queries coming. I'm so excited to read every single query I'm sent. It's an honor that anyone chooses to query me, & I mean that sincerely.
