Man I am petrified to drop this gofundme link but maybe I’ll feel more confident after I talk about what it’s for.
So I’ve been working on @ChefingWhileBlk technically since I lived in Miami in 2017. I knew I wanted to create an ENTIRELY black food channel. I have always been the “why beg for the opportunities when we can make them” person. I don’t like the idea of waiting to be accepted
When I first came back to NYC I started shooting the first episodes of my food channel with my talented friend @FunnyJulius. Unfortunately working in restaurants hindered me from having enough personal time to focus on my own goals. I put the channel on hold.
As you can see from the video I don’t like being in front of the camera BUT I know there are amazing chefs & cooks out there who should take my place. I just need to give them the space. A space a lot of people wouldn’t dare want to share. This is why I created ChefingWhileBlack
. @ChefingWhileBlk is so much more than an online store for seasonings and sauces. It will grow to be a safe creative hub for all black people in the culinary world who just wants to create and share all while being PAID to do so.
