Some stuff I’m learning about white woman allyship (accepting suggestions/corrections);
-believe non-prominent voice when they identify injustice happening,
-do my own research; the scholarship is out there, just look,
-find/fund the affected community already doing the work,

-use movement language and cite to the source,
-continue to quote and point to movement leaders, it’s not my voice ppl need to hear,
-let myself get called out when I get it wrong, I’m learning and supporting not trying to be a hero,

-don’t get scared off when the community vents about un-affected allies, they need to say it and I need to hear it to be better,
-keep reminding myself it’s not about me, who the system works for, but my neighbors, whom the system is set up to leave behind.
