You're THIS close to success

👉--- > 👋

Ask yourself

Besides the money, what's the real difference between you and Bill Gates?

Ok...

You're probably not a 64 year old who created a mega successful company

The true difference lies in your daily habits!

*THREAD 🧵*
1.

Bill has an edge over many of us when it comes to daily habits

Some of his daily habits include:

- Always learning
- Always reading
- Learning from failures

It wouldn't be too difficult for any of us to perform these actions right?
2.

It comes down to the small, simple, habits when repeated long enough turn into success

The 5% of the most successful people weren't just lucky

They just do what the 95% doesn't

Their daily actions seem insignificant now but are HUGE in the long run
3.

Give yourself time to grow

--Let it be your ally

Take exercise as an example

Missing a day probably wouldn't hurt your progress

But miss a few years and your health would suffer

*Success is a culmination of your daily actions*

It's NOT the result of one single action
4.

Rather than focus on the future

Focus on the now

Too often people tell themselves

"I'll do this when I ___"

Build your success from the ground up vs waiting until you reach a certain point in your life
5.

Build positive habits

There aren't many people who become successful through negative habits

Some things you can do...

- Exercise
- Meditate
- Journaling
- Express gratitude

Happiness leads to success

Success doesn't lead to happiness
6.

You have to start somewhere

Rather than trying to finish a book a day

Try reading for 15 pages daily

Little things like this create a chain reaction

Those 15 pages read daily leads to about ~20 books read/year

Doesn't seem so insignificant now does it?
7.

So

How can you create better habits?

- Show up
- Be positive
- Be consistent
- Be committed long term
- Be willing to sacrifice in order to succeed
8.

From there you will take the next steps towards your goals

- Write down (with specifics) your goals and deadlines
- Look at your goals daily whether that be on your phone, laptop, car, etc
- Create a plan (don't stress yourself out)
- Revise your plan as you go
As you work on improving your habits DON'T go looking for shortcuts

Take responsibility for your success & failures

Build the small habits you need in order to be who you want to be

This is your edge

You may not be the next Bill Gates

But you can get pretty close!
