The score of Nigeria comes from testing 86 Nigerian adults and 375 13-years old. These 461 people represent, not only all of the 120,000,000 Nigerians (in 2002), but also the whole populations of Benin, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Niger, and Togo.
250 Ethiopians, all 15 years old, all immigrants to Israel represent the totality of the 70,000,000 Ethiopians of 2002, and the populations of a few neighboring countries.
22 people, aged 23 years old, represent the whole 5,000,000 people from Sierra Leone and a few neighboring countries.
7+200 Moroccans, all immigrants in the Netherlands, the latter 5 to 7 years old, and 129 Egyptians, all 12 years old (total 336 people) represent all of the 141,000,000 people of North Africa in 2002.
The authors explain, somehow circularly, that the IQ of China is lower than that of the other "oriental peoples" because of "economically backward state of the country and the low living standards" (later IQ is the independent variable to explain economic development).
But indigenous people during colonial Congo? Nah their scores are good to go.
