People who have this infantile self-centered “don’t you know what I know and what I don’t?” world view are universally stupid because nobody bothers to ever try to teach them anything again.

At least I don’t.

A good learner is open, receptive and appreciative.

Any other type of learner is an annoying pain in the ass and not worth the trouble.

People pay good money—1/4 million dollars or more for 4 years at an Ivy League University—just to get people to tell them stuff they don’t already know.

Getting people to tell you what they know for free is an invaluable trick all smart people learn.

If you want to keep the stream flowing, don’t shut it down with you feeble wounded ego.

Listen to the obvious stuff with eager enthusiasm and you may eventually hear valuable stuff that nobody else would ever tell you.
