1. These Amphetimines were of the Captagon type commonly seen as the drug of choice by Jihadis. However, Rezgui the Sousse attacker is said to have used it when he launched his attack in Tunisia.
2. I am just going to draw on knowledge of the area due to family connections to Salerno and Campania in general. The consignment was seized in Salerno not Naples, both are port cities. Do get in touch with @G88Daniele for more on Salerno. There is a camorra link.
3. Camorra has been linked to people smuggling in Libya, illegal fishing in Somali and of course drug running. One Libyan commander I spoke to suggested that they were involved with Libyan factions. Campania and Italy has always been seen as a thorough fare into Europe.
4. Algerian dissidents were there in the 90s too during the civil war. Naples is a big port and is very wedded to Chinese and Camorra interest. In fact, it is interesting to note that Camorra are even involved in managing many of the migrant centres in Campania.
