Just 1% of these homes built in Leeds had outdoor space such as a shared garden area, while none in Leicester did. . The government knows, they've been told again, and again. What else? The community is not consulted on these homes. The local council is powerless to stop them. They are not democratic. And they are now coming to a high street near you, because new rules will let landlords carve those shops into as many flats as they can manage

When @BorisJohnson talks about #ProjectSpeed to speed up planning, this is what he means by it. When he talks about the number of homes built, these are the homes he means. And when he talks about beauty, placemaking, safety, quality, places where people want to live....
