A thread.

The enormity of this virus is unrivaled; and I believe that every Nigerian will agree with me, as regards the presence of the hitherto unknown ill; one that threatened to pit countries against themselves;

one that defied every sense of logic as it disrupted the human immune system.

The Coronavirus affected virtually every sphere of our society. It brought about an unprecedented change in human lives, activities and relations and introduced what is a new normal.

But while people might choose to focus on the negative impacts of the pandemic, including how it affected their social and economic situations, I'm choosing to focus on how this period has been an eye-opener and how I've used this opportunity to create an impact.

First, I have been able to help out my online community. With a following of about 27,000 people, I have tried to help as many as I can with finance, while being a listening ear to those who just need to vent or rant about their problems, especially with the pandemic.

Also, I joined other volunteers in May to distribute health and safety items including face masks and hand sanitizers in parts of Lagos.

The coronavirus placed a huge test on humanity and our resolve to be change makers and I'm glad I stood up in my little way when the clarion call sounded.

We will get past this phase, but until then, I'll keep being a model citizen, as best as I can.
