Conspiracy theory time: The new Pandemic scare (H1N1) from China is a hoax.

It has been reported predominately by state owned Chinese media. While China still doesn’t want to own COVID-19, why has it suddenly become a good boy, telling the world to be aware?

Here are some reasons:

1. Chinese economy is ravaged due to the ban on its biggest companies all over the world and countries are reviewing their relations with China. The gold scam is the mother of all scams, it has the potential to push China back considerably.

2. The World Vs China: Every nation that matters is against China. Russia has chosen India over China. France, US and Israel stand resolutely behind India. Japan is set to lay seige on it and ASEAN nations have decided to settle it once and for all.

3. Failure of Debt Trap diplomacy and BRI - Countries have become increasingly aware of China’s debt trapping tricks. Xi’s dream project BRI has hit the dead end.

4. Loss of soft power and spying tools: While US decided to declare Chinese Media as representatives of the communist state thereby snatching their privacy, India has removed all its powerful apps that didn’t just make big money in India but gave China the data it needed.

5. The failure of the Chinese Military myth: Galwan clash proved that China has only perfected the art of scaring its adversaries, in an actual fight, its soldiers get their necks snapped. No amount of parading and show of firepower is going to scare any country.

6. China’s internal politics: While Chinese Communist Party may look like a solid bloc from outside, deep within it is factionalised and broken. There are efforts to dethrone Xi already. And Xi doesn’t want to undergo what his father underwent.

7. China can not afford a war: China has realised that this is one war it cannot afford. Hence trying to distract the foes is the only viable option. It’s a trick straight from “Art of War”, where Sun Tzu says never fight a war that you are bound to lose and is too costly to beat

China doesn’t want a war when its economy is in shambles and Xi’s political detractors are waiting for the right moment.

Nothing will scare the world than another pandemic. China can hope that the world buys it and steps back which will give it the much needed breathing space.
