I love the concept of empathy but I hate the label empath because it’s become a catch all for people to market themselves as virtuous(?) for being able to ignore emotional boundaries and warning signs.
“You can’t hide stuff from me.” Uh, sounds like information you were never meant to be privy to.

It also sounds like they themselves haven’t sorted/analyzed their own feelings yet YOU are letting us know, somehow by OSMOSIS mind you, that you’ve taken on an unfinished product?
I’m not even doubting that some ppl have developed a heightened sense of emotional awareness, I’m saying maybe those ppl are better off learning how to specifically support ppl or implement boundaries instead of always recounting to the TL about how allegedly perceptive they are.
Idk man, maybe it’s just the way Twitter represents y’all but it sounds like a power trip.
Empaths can detect every feeling but can’t detect a peer with the same emotional intelligence.
