Many are beginning to notice that what was once a string of ostensibly progressive changes in the public sphere (albeit voracious in tact and seemingly disparate in occurrence) are far more connected ideologically than what was originally interpreted.

1/
The sentiment that "I agree with 'black lives matter' the movement, not 'Black Lives Matter' the organization" has been popping up quite a lot since the chaos ensued; even by people who until very recently seemed to have not considered if those differences may have existed.

It is becoming evermore common to ask how the activism in favour of the long-overdue reform of the American police force is being taken to the point of lunacy a la CHAZ, or why the language used to fight America's racial injustices is now used in unrelated contexts worldwide.
3/
3/
We all saw the progression of events:
Following the brutal killing of George Floyd, legions of the public began protesting in the name of police reform.
A few protests started getting violent.
Then more of them did.
Then the riots started.
Then CHAZ/CHOP began. But how?

The answer is hidden within the rhetoric employed by the activists.
"white silence is violence"
"not-being-racist is not good enough, you must be actively anti-racist"
"All cops are bad"
etc.

The way in which the BLM activists in the George Floyd protests started to collectively lose their minds is eerily similar to the trajectory of the meltdown of the Evergreen State College.
If the parallels continue, this is does not bode well for the stability of the US.

In this video series by @MikeNayna, @BretWeinstein and his wife @HeatherEHeying recount the harrowing experiences they faced after a mere disagreement on the method that should be used to fight racism.

[For a far more detailed (and ongoing) telling of the Evergreen story, @BenjaminBoyce has been studying the events leading up to and following the insanity. This is well worth the watch if you can spare the time.]

Returning to the present, as @BretWeinstein states in his recent tweet, it seems that the well-intended movement in response to the historic and current injustices against minorities has become a Trojan Horse for what's known as Critical Race Theory.

In recent days, I'm sure that many of you, like me, have noticed an uptick in the frequency of people being 'cancelled', or perhaps you've noticed more of the

Of all the phrases being thrown around, one seems to be showing up more than any other:
"Educate yourself"
And though many of us think of this as a feeble attempt at passive aggression, it's time to start taking statements like this seriously.

To quote @HPluckrose from her latest piece (which is largely responsible for my making of this thread and you should really go give it a proper read):

Herein lies the thesis of my thread:

All of the bandwagoning by celebrities and influencers with zero knowledge of the demands made by these headless mobs who claim to support their ideals must stop.
