All of these other countries got hit with Covid at roughly the same time we did. Within a week of us.

All of them peaked within 5 weeks of us.

And all of them now have less than a quarter of the new cases they had at their peak. Versus our 85%. And we will soon beat our peak.
Here are the G7 countries, including the US, in terms of number of new cases per million population:

US
Peak: 146.61 new cases/day per million
Peak date: 4/12
Current rate: 125.55 new cases per million (85.63% of peak)
Canada
Peak: 73.13 new cases/day per million
Peak date: 5/4
Current rate: 17.70 new cases per million (24.20% of peak)

France
Peak: 116.10 new cases/day per million
Peak date: 4/1
Current rate: 20.28 new cases per million (17.47% of peak)
Germany
Peak: 75.122 new cases/day per million
Peak date: 3/28
Current rate: 5.94 new cases per million (7.91% of peak)

Italy
Peak: 108.449 new cases/day per million
Peak date: 3/22
Current rate: 2.08 new cases per million (1.92% of peak)
Japan
Peak: 11.077 new cases/day per million
Peak date: 4/12
Current rate: 0.93 new cases/day per million (8.35% of peak)

UK
Peak: 128.436 new cases/day per million
Peak date: 4/12
Current rate: 11.99 new cases/day per million (9.34% of peak)
So, comparing the US to the other G7 countries:

- We are closest now to our peak number of new cases per million population than any of the other countries by a LOT. On 6/30, our new cases were 85.63% of our peak number. The next closest is Canada, which is at 24.20%. Not good.
- We hit our peak later than any of the other G7 countries except for Canada. We peaked (so far) for new Covid cases on 4/26 and Canada peaked on 5/4. But Canada has basically recovered and we're going to soon exceed our worst day ever.
