Need some extra cash?

Here’s a little trick I’ve learned to get my hands on a few extra bucks.

Each year, hundreds of millions of dollars go unclaimed people across the US.
This could be money owed to you by

-a job
-ins premium refunds
-utility/security deposits
-mineral royalties
-death benefits due to beneficiaries

Y'all, the list goes on forever.

Chances are, you don’t even know you have money out there just waiting to be claimed.
So, here’s what you do.

1) Go to unclaimed . org (without the spaces of course)

2) Click on your state. See pic :)

9 times out of 10, it will take you to the Department of Revenue, State Treasurer, Unclaimed Property, or State Comptroller website.
3) Look for a link to search for "Unclaimed Property”

Usually it's pretty easy to spot but occasionally it's hidden.

For example, on Montana’s website, you have to click "Property" first, scroll waayyy down & THEN you will see "Unclaimed Property"
4) Fill in the search boxes & click search.

5) Find the money owed to you & claim it!

Check out the pic! You can see I was owed some money!

(Don't worry! I've already claimed this money. 😌)
Tips:

Narrow down the search results by searching by your first & last name.

Be creative in your searches!

If you have a commonly misspelled name (like Yalonda), leave the first name blank if able.

Every state has different criteria so additional ID may be needed.
If you owe child support, student loans, taxes, etc they'll send the money to the agency you owe instead of to you.

Check back OFTEN. I check at least every 6 months.

This isn’t FAST money, it can take several months to get it BUT it is money owed to you! Claim it!
Sharing is caring!

Share with your family & friends!

I always search up my family members names to see if they have anything out there as well!

And they usually do!

♥️ If this helped find cash owed to you, tell me how much in the comments!
