MARSABIT: A BRIEF HISTORY
Located in the historically Marginalised part in Northern Kenya, Marsabit County (up to 2010 Marsabit District), is now also considered to be one the most ethnically heterogeneous Counties in Kenya, accounting for over 30% of cultural diversity.

These groups, includes; the Borana, Gabbra, Rendille, El-molo, Turkana, Samburu, Dassanech, Burji, Gari, Somali, Wayuu and Sidam
Based on the archival records retrieved from The National Archives (TNA ) in Kew, London, this thread will share a brief history of Marsabit, spanning over a period of 377 years, starting from 1556 to 1933.
1902: Camel herding was banned by whiteman in saku.
1932: Garri from Dollo were brought to Moyale and gadaduma by The British.
1933:War between Borana sakuye and Ajuran/Degodia.The British moved Borana/sakuye from wajir to waso to join the Borana and Gabra who were there.
