#1 Here’s my take on the whole #BoycottChina situation Please follow this thread.

We should have voiced out about this long back, good that it is happening atleast now, but the situation is being portrayed and handled differently by the people.
#2 At the moment, most of the consumer electronics and even appliances is majorly made of components made in China, and not made in India, its just a gimmick that manufacturers play on us saying its under the make in India programme.
#3 Good news in this is that recently Ministry of IT announced a scheme called Scheme for Promotion of Manufacturing of Electronic Components and Semiconductors (SPECS) which is a major boost towards manufacturing of electronics and its integral components in India, 2025 target.
#4 Next coming to the funny part where people voice out to buy Asus, Apple,Motorola, Micromax Phones instead of Xiaomi, Oneplus, Realme.
Motorola is owned by Lenovo, which is entirely Chinese
Asus: Taiwaneese, but entirely made in China
#5 Apple: You would definitely know that these are manufactured in China by Foxconn and other third party contract manufacturers.
Micromax : Indian company, but they just buy smartphones from ODM’s in China and they print their brand on it , and provide support locally.
#6 To conclude, Only because the company is not based out of China, doesn't mean that their products/components isn't made in China.

I am happy that we start this now but not many are understanding the underlying information behind this.
