On the commission pricing discussion
Some may say that my prices are too low, I've gotten into multiple arguments about it before. Saying I don't value my work, time, or experience enough and that I could clearly charge more. But I wanna emphasize something

I price my art based on the audience that I want. I want people who work in the same sort of job as me to be able to buy my work. I don't cater to businesses, the industry, even wealthier people just..outside of it. My work is for workers. I'm not luxury.
I have no interest in BEING luxury. And if I have to take on a bit more or work in an alternative fashion in order to pay my bills that's completely fine to me, I'm paying my bills just fine
I just wanna say not everyone is "undercharging" due to low self worth

And no harsh feelings toward people who DO price high. It just feels weird to ME in regard to my work to have a "punk" aesthetic and then have prices that punks can't afford.
I care about my customers a lot and I want to be able to give them good art even if they're not in a place where they can afford big luxuries
Also this is an old thread but please don't call me luxury as a compliment or a way to raise my perceived low self esteem, I don't base my worth in money even remotely. I'm just trying to survive and support the people around me with what I have.
