This Kante at 6 debate is a strange one. You can not find a better defensive player than him itw but he obvs has flaws in the 1st phase(they are largely overestimated though). However that way you get to field another 8/10 like Pep does.

Now the "obvious" solution is to sign a DM that is good otb and play Kante at 8. However, is a "better" 6 worth giving up on another AM, especially vs smaller teams? Pep had the same problem with an inferior player in Ferna who cost City quite a few big games

This season he replaced the defensive contribution for a ball playing DM and it all went to shit. For me, the best solution would be to play 10-Kante-10 vs smaller teams and 10-Billy-Kante vs bigger teams who PRESS although we completely shut off City
