Hello regarding the adding prices to your commissions, please make a pricelist separating for personal commission and commercial ones. They have a difference and commercials usually are priced higher because of how the company will use them in which a lot of people will see it.
This is not about underselling but knowing how to price yourself properly. There is a difference between commercial and personal commissions. So I hope people won't misunderstood the info of instantly raising prices for personal commissions.
Personal commissions are usually use for personal reasons only. The person who commissioned them may use it as many times as they like and shouldn't sell it or reprint for reselling repurposes since its only made for personal use.
For commercial ones, its best to raise prices here since they'll be using your art in marketing ways or for visual purposes that involves them earning from it. Its best to ask from them an agreement or contract regarding this so both sides know that this is a big deal.
Im still not that much experienced in pricing since Im only exp in this field for more than a year but overpricing yourself without having an industry skill is actually not worth to pay :(( Please note that you raise your price if you improved or youre receiving more tips-
Or youre already taking a lot of commissions...

I hope this won't cost any misunderstanding :(( Im just somehow alarmed that a lot may get the wrong idea and don't know the difference between personal and commercial commissions :(( So I hope this helps :)!!
If you're unsure how to price your commissions (personal/commercial) best to consult to your friends who are experienced in this field and let them guide you :) I also saw some artists posting tweets on how to price it properly :) will include the threads I found useful later
I find this thread useful!! Also I'll be including another tweet from this to help you :)!! https://twitter.com/cysketch/status/1277340854655447042?s=19

I also want to include that if you're just starting out, its okay if youre rates are affordable since you need to test the waters first. Please know that you all need to improve your skill so clients personal or commercial will always come to you :))!! ---
But if you need to hit a specific goal, like you need to start upgrading tools, its best if you open every month and if youre earning lots of comm slots, best to raise your rates :)!! But don't forget to take care of yourself :))!!
Pricing for commercial ones is actually a bit complicated >< It takes experience to learn how to price and raise them properly but my friend suggested that it should be a per day or hourly rate then double or triple :))!! But never forget to improve your skills along the way ✨
Aaah please note that Im only basing this on my experiences and what I learned from my friends. I still have a long way to go so if there is something wrong here please feel free to educate me more because I want to learn more about this :) Thank you so much!!
Also Im sorry if this thread is unorganized :(( I didn't properly arranged them today since I'm not at home where my laptop is atm :(( but I really hope this helps!!
