This is an excellent thread.
I've been having discussions privately with others about exactly what 'Zionism' means, and a huge challenge in discussing it is that its meaning has shifted over time, and is used (as David says) by different groups to mean different things. https://twitter.com/DavidDjemal/status/1277396242826485765

I've always considered myself 'anti-zionist,' but only in relation to how the hardcore right-wing Israeli version of zionism is defined, which, as this thread highlights, is kind of problematic - why am I letting Netenyahu, Gantz, etc dictate the definition?
It's really just a good thread for highlighting what a lot of jews have been saying for a while: 'zionism' is not a productive term to use in relation to the conflict, because it really feels like it's losing all concrete meaning, beyond as an antisemitic dogwhistle.
