I think Balogun’s fate was sealed when we brought Eddie back in January tbh. He’s already behind TJJ, Eddie and Martinelli let alone Auba and Laca. Not every youngster can make it. Essentially you have to prioritise which ones you think are the best

Gotta remember we’re trying to improve the quality of the team as well so some will inevitably miss out. Arsenal do better than most in promoting their own; Saka, Nelson, ESR, Eddie, Willock, AMN etc have all played a significant proportion for the first team

The only ones that we have let go that really kill me are Gnabry, Malen and Bennacer. In the case of the latter two there was no space for them to break through when they left but I think we should’ve defo bought Bennacer back last summer
