Snake Island, Brazil: The mysterious island is known as Ilha da Queimada Grande. It is the only home of the critically endangered, venomous snake known as golden lancehead pit viper. The snakes became trapped on the island when rising sea levels covered up the land that 
connected it to the mainland. It is in fact so dangerous to set foot there that Brazil has made it illegal for anyone to visit. It’s estimated that there are between 2,000 to 4,000 snakes on the island. They're so venomous that a human bitten by one could be dead in an hour.
