Thread: Today was supposed to be the start of Wimbledon 2020 but the tournament was cancelled this year so here’s a look back at Catherine and Meghan at Wimbledon

Both Duchesses are big tennis fans and Catherine is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club

2007&2008 - Kate Middleton attended a Wimbledon for the first time in 2007 and returned in 2008 to watch the tournament with some close friends (including Sophie Carter who is now Princess Charlotte’s godmother). She even wrote a thank you letter to Wimbledon officials

2011 - Catherine and William attended their first Wimbledon as a married couple and watched a game between Andy Murray and Richard Gasquet

2012 - Catherine attended two days of the tournament, once with her sister Pippa, and once with William

The Cambridges watched two games of the Men’s Quarter Finals. Catherine and Pippa watched the Men’s Finals.

2013 - Catherine was heavily pregnant with George this time around and couldn’t attend. She later revealed in an interview that she begged her doctor so she could go but she wasn’t allowed to in the end

2014 - The Duchess was back and she attended two days of the tournament, both with Prince William. Their second day was the Men’s Final

2015 - Catherine and William watched the Quarter Finals together

2016 - Catherine watched the Women’s Semi-Final with the Countess of Wessex. As per usual the Cambridges watched the Men’s Final together

2016 - Meghan attended the tournament for the first time. She went on two different days to cheer on her good friend Serena Williams. This was around the time her and Harry started dating

2017 - This was Catherine’s first year attending Wimbledon as their royal patron. She went by herself for Day 1 and then attended the Men’s Singles Final with William. We also got a super cute PDA moment

2018 - Catherine and Meghan attended the Ladies Final together

This was their first public outing just the two of them since Harry and Meghan’s wedding back in May of that year. I loved seeing them together

2019 - Catherine and Meghan continued their newly forming tradition by attending the Ladies Final together again. This time, Pippa accompanied them as well

I wasn’t a fan of neither Catherine nor Meghan’s outfits this day but I loved Pippa’s, she looked amazing!
