Was Rukmini 8 years old at time of Marriage?

This allegation is very famous and often used by people to insult Shree Krishna but what is the truth? Let's see -

First what was the relation between Krishna and Rukmini before their marriage?.
They both loved each other and wanted to marry.

Krishna requested Rukmini's brother Rukmi to let her marry him, but he refused because he hated Krishna and Jarasandha had asked Rukmi to marry his sister with Shishupala.

Krishna "Requested" first.

They both loved each other but her brother was marrying her to Shishupal that's when Krishna took her away from her brotherहरण is translated as abduction by id!ots, abduction is against the wishes of the person being abducted but here it was against wishes of her brother not her

Not let's see how Harivansha Purana describes Rukmini just one day before marriage- (2,59)

She is described as she looked like Lakshmi has stepped on Earth, as if ray of light from moon has taken form of a woman( word used is स्त्री)

She looked beautiful with long eyes and all her body parts were well developed( the word used for her is पीनोरुजघनस्तनी meaning she had well developed thighs and breast)

Can this description be of an 8 year old girl? Any person with common sense will answer no.

Even After marriage they both stayed as Brahmchari for 12 years in Himalayas and only after that Rukmini gave birth to Pradyumn.
See Mahabharat Sauptik Parva/12/30.31

So Krishna married Rukmini because they loved each other and Rukmini was a full grown woman and even after marriage they remained Brahmchari for 12 years and gave birth to Pradyumn.

To prove Rukmini was 8 years old they show verses from Puranas like Brahmvaivrat Purana, Although they do contradict other versions still do not read their own evidences properly,

for example Brahmvaivrat Purana uses (नवयौवनाम्) for Rukmini, meaning she had just reached Youth, that would be older than 16 and not 8

Even more Krishna ji knew all Vedas Bhishma himself said it, and Vedas say ब्रह्मचर्य्येण कन्या युवानं विन्दते पतिम , girls too follow Brahmcharya Ashram and then get a Husband for herself in youth. Krsihna did not do anything against Dharma that's why he was praised by Bhishma.

In conclusion this is a Myth that Rukmini was 8 years old at time of Marriage. She was a full grown woman.
Don't believe anyone with copy pasting English translations without even understanding.
