I had once been to meet a homeopathic doc who was my friend..She runs a clinic and is 50yrs old. There came a lady with a 4 yr old kid and the kid was in distress.. His mom kept giving him water and the kid complained of stomach ache. (1/n)

His mom strikes a conversation with me. And she began telling me that she work in IBM &this kid was their only son. He's 4 but his IQ is in some 100's or so and the kid is participating in competitions and stuff. He's been to the US for such competition too (2/n)
She began asking him questions to show his skills. .She was like he's so brilliant so we are nurturing that talent in him etc. That kid was in so much of discomfort, my doc aunty said heal him. The moment i started healing, the kid threw up..It felt better after throwing up (3/n)
The kid seemed to be in stress. A kid of 4yrs constantly under the pressure of competition& the need for him to prove his worth. I was taken aback by his mom's behavior, she was continuously showing him videos n telling him things even when he was sick. (4/n)
Why are parents such cruel humans? Just cos you were a failure, why do u impose your dreams on your kids!? Why do you expect your kids to act like super humans. Why can't people let kids be kids???! (5/n)
This incident in the hospital taught me a lot of things! A lot of parents think their kids are an investment for their future. Fact is, no one is ever permanent..The sooner we realize the better!kids outgrow parents and they move on..We should let them go and explore things (6/n)
Let kids be kids. Don't get carried away by the illusion of fame, name etc. A kid needs his parents and wants to feel loved and secure...love is all they need at this age

This lady began asking me about my son's IQ and said he seems normal to her and nothing special.. I said my son loves painting and loves to repair stuff and he's happy doing it so I'm fine with it. But the words she used was as of she was questioning my upbringing.( 8/n)
This IT woman went to another parent in the hospital and began asking if her son has any skill. The other lady started making faces as if she's sad .. And this lady began giving tips and how to start with spelling bee competition etc (9/n)
The only thing I wanted to do was to run away from that hospital cos bearing that woman even for a minute was a pain 
.. People tell you how to be a good parent. She taught me how not to be a mad parent
