an interesting thread......i think we know enough about black capitalism now. opulence as a presentation and opulence as in consumption/consumer/capital certainly has a difference but there's a model in which one reaches to both. she's a billionaire, a lot of these ppl
are millionaires. and we can't wrap that BS in a nice jacket just to comply with the state. doesnt mean we cant indulge or enjoy but it means that theyre sincere flaws. on top of that engagement with different types of bodies and not seeing fat dark woman as matronly in her work
i wouuld also argue that if you are using the self as a marketing tool now since that's popular you're stuck in this loop yea it's a quandary but it's not right and you cultivate a world where only other rich black ppl are around. it doesnt do much
