Some #Indians have this illusion that our independence was a gift from #India & That’s so laughable.
1. It was a cooperation for mutual benefit & not a gift to anyone.
2. Indian army rarely fought in 71. Our freedom fighters fought for 8 months and Pak army was on its knees.

3. Indian Army’s Mission was to reach Dhaka ASAP & the freedom fighters were holding up whatever feeble resistance the enemy on its knees could provide so Indian Army could bypass and reach Dhaka. We needed them to execute a surrender fast. The job was already done by our FFs

4. The reason Indian Army took 13 days to reach Dhaka from the border areas, they hardly faced any resistance from the enemy on its knees. You won’t be able to cross the border in 13 days if that was a war you fought. You are struggling for 55 years to get back POK, got it yet?

5. Yes we needed your presence for a quick end to the war, Pak army would drag its feet to surrender to a force still a part of Pak. In turn we served your interest by not having a border of Pakistan on your east. You could lose your 7 eastern states between China & Pak today.

6. We acknowledge your cooperation and you should intern thank us for what you got from a friendly neighbour. But if you boast that our liberation is a gift, then you betray our friendly gesture & create another enemy. Be respectful towards #Bangladesh for continued benefit.

7. #India really doesn’t want an enemy in #Bangladesh You really don’t afford actually to lose 7 states to feed your ego. You have a lot to lose if we turn into an enemy. So it’s better that you be nice & respectful with us & really honestly. Play tricks and you’re in trouble.
