Facebook has enough resources to determine whether a metal band is promoting white supremacist, racist views. Facebook can search for a band on http://Metal-Archives.com  just like anyone else, which is usually all that's needed.
#Antifascists should contact small business owners they know and tell them about Facebook's problem with neo-Nazi propaganda. It's great that @benandjerrys and similar big businesses are taking their money away, but small businesses need to stop, too.
The neo-Nazi metal bands listed on the petition at https://change.org/FacebookNaziMetal have well-established pages with thousands of followers, going back years. Facebook knows about the pages but does nothing.

Reporting a neo-Nazi metal band page to Facebook accomplishes nothing. They will always tell you the page or the post did not violate their community examples. They are either not investigating the reports properly, or their guidelines explicitly allow neo-Nazi material.
Many neo-Nazi metal bands say they are not racist, they're just into Wotanism - a white nationalist, racist 'religion' invented by David Lane, the terrorist and creator of the '14 Words' neo-Nazi slogan.

One of the neo-Nazi bands which does this is @GravelandBand. Robert Fudali likes to pretend his band isn't a neo-Nazi band, despite his beliefs being (in his own words) "extreme right-wing, National Socialist convictions" and his band's lyrics being full of neo-Nazi tropes.
The black metal scene accepts these ridiculous and insincere explanations and will repeat them as though they explain anything.
When someone asks if Graveland or Satanic Warmaster are neo-Nazi black metal bands, they mean in the common sense of believing "Jews control the world" or "white people are inherently superior", and replying by talking about Lycanthropy or Wotanism is meaningless.

If you scroll through the page of @GravelandBand you will see Robert offers a huge variety of branded merchandise. The same for M8l8th, Militant Zone, Peste Noire, and many other neo-Nazi projects. They are very money-focused, and their FB pages drive much of those funds.
Militant Zone is a lifestyle brand. They want to make neo-Nazism cool and hipster, by marketing a huge variety of white supremacist merchandise to thousands of followers through their Facebook page.
If you mention the black metal band @GravelandBand's neo-Nazism and Wotanism's basis in white supremacy, frontman Robert Fudali will swiftly block your Twitter profile. I recommend giving it a try.
Many neo-Nazi bands use the 'black sun' symbology in their artwork or lyrics. They claim it is a pagan symbol, but this is bogus. The symbol was created by the Nazis, on a floor mosaic in Wewelsburg castle. The design has only ever been about Nazism.
