The LEFTCOMMUNIST position is the position of unrelenting critique of everything that claims to take on the position of challenging the present state of things, it is unwavering in devastating these positions and seeking out faults and falsifications.
Important to leftcommunism is the realization that the movements of the past failed to establish a separate mode of production, that is, that these movements were still wholly capitalist, that they later on degraded to upholding capitalism, not challenging it.
Marxist critiques of capitalism are thus perfectly applicable, to the letter, without change, to the USSR, to China, or whatever your favourite pet project may be. This is not a dogma! We are not uncritical of Marx! But we need not change his critique when it readily applies.
In fact leftcommunism is immensely critical: it is critical of exactly that which these failed movements seek to not be critical about. It is not critical from a capitalist position: again, leftcommunism is the tradition of communist critiques of these movements. [1/2]
It is critical not from the position of that which communism seeks to challenge; instead it is critical from the communist position, whereas Stalinism would subsume the position that communism is critical of. [2/2].
Marx was not a leftcommunist; his texts are not leftcommunist texts: leftcommunism is the communist critique of supposed communist movements; communism is the critique of class society. Leftcommunism is part of communism, they are not one and the same.
